Courts Award $94 Million in Damages on Hoffman Clark Expert Testimony
Hoffman Clark calculated damages and provided expert witness testimony in two St. Louis courts that entered judgments for money damages totaling $94 Million.
Mark Hoffman, a partner at Hoffman Clark, provided the expert witness testimony in a St. Louis County Circuit Court that awarded damages totaling $55 Million based on Hoffman Clark’s damage calculations. The damages included $38.8 Million in license tax damages, plus $13.4 Million for pre-judgment interest, plus $1.9 Million for penalties, plus over $813,000 for attorney’s fees and expenses. In the case, City of Columbia, Missouri, et al. v. Spectra Communications Group, LLC, et al., judgment was entered June 3, 2021, by Judge Ellen Ribaudo.
In another case, Ryan Clark, a partner at Hoffman Clark, provided the expert witness testimony in a St. Louis County Circuit Court that awarded damages totaling $39 Million based on Hoffman Clark’s damages calculations. The damages included $29.5 Million in license tax damages plus $9.5 Million for pre-judgment interest. In the case, Collector of Winchester, Missouri, et al. v. Charter Communications, Inc., et al., final judgment was entered on January 27, 2021, by Judge Michael Jamison.
